SUZA MANIFEST

Suza Manifest is Cross-cutting platform for the restitution of activities, projects and
initiatives led by MAM Foundation.

The first edition, organised in 2023 under the theme « Taking care of humans, taking care of the earth », set the stage for a dialogue between human and environmental issues. The years 2025/2026 will be marked by time of restitution around the
theme « Issues and perspectives of the Grand Suza counter-cartography ».

Indeed, since the end of 2019, Suza LEV mobilized a multidisciplinary team to carry out a counter-cartography of the territory. The work was fed by the numerous exchanges with the inhabitants·and women's associations. From this sharing have emerged concerns related to agriculture, health, mobility, and population safety.
Work by three PhD students·They also highlighted the endogenous, culinary and therapeutic knowledge, as well as the founding stories and myths of Grand Suza.
Suza Manifest 2025's programming has declined in several strong moments, artifying the balance sheet of counter-cartography and the cultural, economic, social and environmental perspectives it opens up, as well as the presentation of artistic creations.
rooted in the representation of the territory and in the daily life of the inhabitants of the village.

From 28 to 31 August 2025, the following events took place:

  • Opening of the Poetic photo exhibition of David Damoison's daily
  • Inauguration of the work The Reconciliation of the sculptor Joël Mpah Dooh
  • Public opening of the Research and Documentation Centre
  • Visit and inauguration of the Burning Workshop
  • Inauguration of the nursing home of the health centre
  • Exchange with the Green MAMs of the village of Grand Suza during a presentation of the various programmes and the next steps of the project implementation
    cooperative « Green MAM ».
  • Reflection on the Foundation's development priorities for the period 2025-2030.

 

In 2026, SUZA MANIFEST will focus on health care. The programme :

  • Publication of a brochure: « Plants that care and feed » :
    Culinary and therapeutic recipes; nutritional values of plants,
  • A scientific presentation of the plants.
  • A production of videos and podcasts.
  • Youth and women workshops: culinary activities and agroecology (polyculture)
    and sharing banquet.
