To help ensure the well-being of the community by valuing local practices that make it possible to think of a living economy, respectful of backgrounds, populations and their cultures, the MAM FUNDATION created the Laboratoire Economique du Vivant (LEV) and carried out counter-cartography work on the territory of Grand Suza. For example, in 2020, led by Felwine Sarr, a collection of data on care and well-being issues, as well as a wide field study on ecological knowledge, were initiated to assess how local value chains are built and how to enshrine the economy in a specific terroir, in order to foster a circular economy that meets the needs of people while preserving their environment.
