WHO ARE WE?
From the Gallery to the Foundation: 30 years of commitment
MAM Foundation: a place of engagement between art, science, ecology and agriculture
The MAM Foundation is a place, Grand Suza, where commitment, creativity and experimentation converge, in a quest for meaning at the crossroads of creation, science, education, agriculture and ecology to shape a harmonious future. The MAM Foundation combines ethics and aesthetics, two values that nourish its initiatives and define its unique identity.
Grand Suza is located on the coastal coast of Cameroon, north of Douala. Its population is part of the group of coastal peoples, specifically the bankon people.

Ethics as the basis for action
Ethics guides each MAM Foundation project. In agriculture, the aim is to support sustainable and responsible practices that respect ecosystems and bankon communities. In the artistic field, ethics takes the form of a reflection on the role and place of creation within communities and in relation to the living.
An aesthetic quest
MAM Foundation celebrates the link between our human world and nature and works to propose models of human-non-human balance, to link sense and form. Within the MAM Foundation, the Fabrique de Suza and the agroecological farm MARHA are places of creation, experimentation and contemplation.

A holistic approach
Within the MAM Foundation, art, literature, poetry, philosophy, music, anthropology, science, education, economics, ecology and agriculture combine and transcend disciplinary boundaries.
Whether it's inviting an artist who uses natural pigments or supporting a permaculture initiative, each of our projects has the ambition to reimagin our relationship with the world, to build a fairer, smoother, more harmonious society.
